The bridge will be promenade and cycling and will allows the adjacent area through the construction of underground garages but covered by vegetation in the area below Stelluti Park.
At the same time the construction of the bridge will be carry on another project that involves the construction of a series of workshops and shops dedicated to the activities of crafts (currently in difficulty and suffering in our city) that overlook Corso di Francia.
The bridge has been conceptualised ‘to be permeable and transparent to the urban environment’ with a ‘curvilinear body…open to light penetration’. Sustainability has played a key role in the design with the team looking to use 80% recycled steel in construction.
